Marmelat is a sweet fruit preserved jam made from juice and peel of fruits, boiled in water and sugar. Most commonly used fruits are lemons, limes, sweet oranges, grapefruit and other citrus fruits.

Ingredients Required:

Any citrus fruits (1kg)
Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
Water (2.5 liters)
Sugar (1kg)
Jar (700g)

Preparation Method:

  • You will get 700g of marmelat with mentioned ingredients
  • Wash and cut oranges into slices and remove seeds
  • Cut orange slices into quarter and place in stainless steel pot
  • Add lemon juice, water to pot and boil for 10 minutes on high, alter cook in simmer and don't forget to stir frequently for 40 minutes (until the fruit is becoming very soft)
  • Add sugar and stir well until it dissolve
  • Allow to sit for 15 minutes, then spoon into clean jars and seal immediately
