Sucuklu yurmuta

Sucuklu yurmuta is a classic Turkish breakfast made with seasoned dry sausage mixed with egg and pepper makes it delicious, it can be eaten with fresh bread or freshly cut vegetables like cucumber, spring onions and tomatoes.

Ingredients Required:

For 1 person
Sucuk (1/2 sliced dried sausage or pastrami)
Eggs (2)
Butter/oil (4g)
Salt (10g)
Pepper (4g)
Grounded cumin (2g)


Preparation Method:

  • Heat the pan with little butter or oil
  • Cut sucuk into slices and put in pan
  • Scatter the slices around the edges of the pan, forming a circle
  • Crack the eggs in the middle and cook for a few minutes on medium heat
  • Now, season with salt, pepper and cumin over the eggs
  • Cook until the egg whites are set and the egg yolks still runny
  • Serve with crusty bread and enjoy the taste
